Tools for Schools and Used Books
Award-winning projects that support the education of thousands of schoolchildren all over Arizona. In 2005 alone, Tools for Schools supplied over 28,000 school packs to local children and the Used Books project recycled 620,000 books.
With the support of the local community and generous corporations and businesses, World Care is able to provide education supplies and school packs to thousands of children in Arizona. World Care has become a reliable conduit of resources for those in need through a responsible, efficient, and balanced system of distribution.
In 2005, World Care recycled over 620,000 books that were reused and placed in libraries. This effort was done in a collaboration with EEF, Pima County Libraries, local schools, private citizens, and civic sponsor groups. World Care also provided students with 1,310 computers, and many desks, chairs, chalkboards, and teaching materials last year. These supplies supported the outfitting of approximately 70 classrooms. |
Invest in an organization you can trust. World Care received 4 Stars from Charity Navigator!
